I didn't know where I should put this, but I'm getting a new laptop for Christmas, but I keep getting the urge to start on a game using the RTP. Is there a way for me to start working on this game on my current computer then transfer ALL the data to my laptop when Christmas comes around?
Thanks.
Yes, you can just copy the resources directly. Though you'll still have to go through the process of figuring out how to install RPG Maker onto your laptop anyway, so I'd recommend just installing the RTP onto your laptop and copying your project folder over via flashdrive or something.
Either copy everything RTP/Rpg Maker to a flash drive or upload it to a free file host online and re-download it to your new computer. As long as you have the program installed and the project folder you just need to get that on your new computer.
If you are using VX or XP, I think I can help you install RM with a minimum of fuss. As far as the project itself, do as the fox suggested. The fox is wise. The fox knows.
Yeah, I'm using VX, and yes, I'll do what the fox said :D
