Title: Music
Post by: Kokowam on September 17, 2010, 02:40:00 AM
Realized that I have over 1TB. I bettah use it - anyone have recommendations for songs/artists/bands to look into? If it's an artist or band, recommended albums would be nice along with a sample song so I can see what they sound like.

Well, a few of my favourite albums, in no particular order, are:

Welcome to the Night Sky, by Wintersleep
Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, by The Flaming Lips
Illinois, by Sufjan Stevens
Magnolia Electric Co., by Songs: Ohia
Abbey Road, by The Beatles
OK Computer, by Radiohead
Hello, Dear Wind, by Page France
Funeral, by Arcade Fire
Tea for the Tillerman, by Cat Stevens
Grace, by Jeff Buckley
The Moon & Antarctica, by Modest Mouse
Dark Side of the Moon, by Pink Floyd
Harvest, by Neil Young
Fleet Foxes, by Fleet Foxes
Aim and Ignite, by fun.
Broken Social Scene, by Broken Social Scene
Rhythm Chord & Melody, by Reign of Kindo
Play, by Moby
Apologies to the Queen Mary, by Wolf Parade
Gimme Fiction, by Spoon
If You're Feeling Sinister, by Belle & Sebastian

Obviously some of those artists have a lot of albums that I like, but I restricted myself to one for each. I'm sure I missed a bunch too.
