Title: Tileset Problem (no, this isn't about the limited tilesets)
Post by: Velcro on June 21, 2010, 04:01:29 PM
I downloaded grafikal's Ship tileset and installed it for one of my scenes, and there's a problem that's occurring.

Is this because of the transparency of the background not being set? I just put the tilesets in the graphics/system folder. This is most likely a stupid question, but I just need clarification. This happens to all of the tiles, btw. Whereas when I wasn't using the tileset, it would be normal. Thanks.

Events are your best friend.

I tried it, but i was a complete pain in the ass doing larger items. Also, I couldn't put the sail and the pole together using events as they were separated.

Uhh, yeah you can. Easy. You have to use an event for every single tile that you want. Be sure to adjust priority accordingly.

Don't know what you mean by A, but if you're referring to Tileset A, then the actually boat is Tileset D and the sails and such are Tileset E.

I'm posting because it does not look like this problem was resolved.

The reason the mast tiles have appeared like that is because  Any tiles on sets BCDE are unable to overlap with one another. These sets can only overlap with tiles place on a Tile A sheet. Otherwise overlapping must be evented.

The best solutions for this problem are A) Edit the tile E to have the mast placed over the ground tiles. or B) place the ground tile on Tile A and then the mast on Tile E can be placed over it.
