Title: How can I permanantly move an event?
Post by: roscopatterson on June 16, 2010, 09:51:22 AM
In a game im making, a path is blocked by a big animal, and when a specific item is in inventory, the animal will move when action button is pressed by it. I belive im doing the wrong thing however, I need the animal to stay moved, but whenever the map reloads, of course he is back in the same spot. How could I permanantly move this event?

Well, you can activate a switch when the animal moves, and then create a new, blank page in the same event with that switch as a condition. You can then create a new event with the animal in its moved position, that has as its condition the same switch. That's one way. Another way would be to have a parallel process event run the moment the actor enters the zone which teleports the event to the new position if the switch is ON, and then erases itself.
