how do you know how much damage you give

I saw that this was in the XP Event board, so I'll assume this is for XP.

If you're in battle, it should be quite obvious how to tell how much damage has been dealt. If you're damaged outside of battle from like a spike trap, the only way to know is to check your menu.

Check the help files of the program for the formulas the program uses to determine damage dealt and what factors into it. Just search for Damage Formula and look around in there.

Normal attacks:
Power = A's attack power - (B's physical defense รท 2)
Rate = 20 + A's strength
Variance = 15
Minimum force: 0
I don't understand it

those are pretty self-explanatory.

power is equal to a's attack power minus half of b's physical defense
the attack rate is 20 plus a's strength value
variance is the amount the damage varies, higher numbers are more variance
minimum force ...uh...can't do less than 0 damage ?_?

what's there to not understand?
