Title: Windows 7 + RMXP
Post by: Bernkastel on May 03, 2010, 12:40:54 AM
Alright, It's been a while since I've used RMXP. I bought a new laptop, it had windows 7. I downloaeded and installed RMXP, and put it in windows XP compatibility mode. I don't get the "Failed to retrieve trial license" error thing anymore. Nowwwww, I'm having a /strange/ problem. It won't load any of the default data.

For example, here's a screenshot:

(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi869.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab258%2Fgurevich17%2FOopsies.png&hash=4af91953a888d2c7894a4159b701499f190038d2)

I can't work with this :(

Help would be appreciated!

This is probably a dumb question but...

Did you install the RTP? If you did, try re-installing it.

..wow. I had to re-install it.
I feel awfully stupid now.

Thank you very much.

I get this exact problem, except I have installed RTP and re-installed it and it still doesn't work... it's saving my Projects in my "Documents" folder, is this where they are supposed to go?

Edit: it looks like the RGSS > Standard > Graphics folder has been installed in the cursed AppData folder... I had problems with this and Oblivion but I don't remember the fix... anyone go through the same thing?

Okay...
1.) his issue was resolved, I'm hijacking nothing, merely reviving
2.) aren't we supposed to search for posts that are already about a topic we wish to post on, to avoid duplicate topics?
3.) thanks for the help

1.) Sorry you're pissy but just make a new topic.
2.) You're supposed to search for topics that would answer your question before making a new thread. If this didn't answer your question, make a new thread.
3.) :dwi:

i wouldn't say i'm pissy, i just found your strict adherence to the rigamarole counter productive to the spirit of a troubleshooting forum, i'm wrong you're right - movin' on
