Title: Status Effects
Post by: shandy333 on March 14, 2010, 02:43:46 AM
I need help on this, I've been working on it and searching for a script all day.

I can't seem to get the system to display the enemies status effects.
I made a couple of new ones and I'm pretty sure that it will display the default one like Poison or Venom.

Point me in the Wright direction please!!!

what exactly are you trying to do make the animation like the poison and venom work on the nemy or are you trying to make it tell you what status effect it is

Well I'm actually looking for anything.

Animation,

Text,

Enemy movement or action,

Anything will help.

It displays enemies' status effects next to their names when the battle cursor is on them. For an animation, just go to the database and give the state the animation you want.

I'm sorry, I'm not being clear enough because I'm rushing.
Lets start over.

I tried making my own animation = it sucks.

I think it would be better if something like this went on(here is a sample battle):

Handy Fox
Class: Sambo fighting style.

He pulls off a knee bar attack to an enemy with legs (limbs or whatever,)

The hit was successful,

[Okay this is what I want to display in text, kind of like the mother\earthbound series.]

The enemy can't move, he was caught in a grapple hold. [Grapple hold is the state.]

[And when the enemy is released of the hold I want something like this to be displayed.]

The enemy has skillfully escaped the holds of Handy.

[And if is possible, I would like this global string added.]

The enemy is cleared of all status effects.

Please help!!! I hope this was clear enough!

P.s. I might throw in a little animation so that it doesn't look dry.

I'm also using Sideview Battle System Version 2.2xp if someone is willing to write the script.
