This is what happens when you abandon RMXP for over a year. You forget everything you learned.
Anyway, I've finally got myself back into the ~groove~, or whatever, and I've started my game again.
The opening cutscene starts off with the player character alone, when she's knocked out. When she wakes up, three of the Big Bad's lackies are there. I can wing it from there, but there are a few things I'm having trouble with.
Thing A) How do I have it so the player is alone on the map, before being knocked out? I'm a a total eventing noob, and I'm pretty sure I could do it on one map, but I'm not sure.
Thing B) How do I set events so they happen once and ONLY once? I don't want to have about three different maps for once place, because of events ffff. REMEMBERED, HAHAHAHA.
what do you really want to do there?
A map with the hero knocked out? just change the hero sprite to knocked out hero sprite. Then make it change to normal and those 3 appears. I really can't help you in here, since i don't understand what you really want to here....

The hero starts off alone in the map, After being knocked out, she's NOT alone. I want to have the other three characters only appear after she's been knocked out. BUT, I don't want to have to make another map. Does that make sense?
ah.Then just make 3 events to the 3 enemyes, with a switch condition (if character knocked out=ON)
Do another event with paralell process condition, and on it, do whatever you want to happen before those 3 guys appear, then after you do everything make the switch character knocked out=ON
And self switch ON
Ad a new page on that paralell process event so it will sop, and it will be ok.
The 3 guys would appear, etc,etc,etc...did you got it? It is basic...A basic switch thing...
