Title: Converting Sound Effect Files wav/midi
Post by: Brady on February 07, 2010, 08:00:31 PM
I'm using SFX wav files to create ambient noise in certain areas, but the problem I'm having is that most sounds don't work ingame.  The only ones I have that work are ones I collected years ago and for the life of me I can't remember where I got them from and/or how I got them to work correctly ingame.
Because of this, I can't get new SFX files because none of them seem to work ingame.

Anyone got any idea how to either convert the files so that they do work ingame, or a site that I can gather them from where they do work without the need to convert.

Note that this isn't for BGM midi files; charas-project seems to work fine for that, I'm just talking about SFX wav files.

Cheers.

edit: Jus' installed the Disharmony patch and tryin' to get my head around it.  Not used it for music yet, but the SFX still isn't workin', so far.

You can try zamzar. It's an online file conversion site.

For the most part; sounds that you download from rm2k resource sites do work, but
when you try and record your own sounds...it may or may not work. (atleast that's the isuue with me)
