Post by: ssbbfan4 on January 17, 2010, 10:55:01 PM
I need help fixing a char set. I tried to create a Charset for a FF1 Canoe.

And this is the sad result:

Can anyone help?

EDIT: I created a charset that was from scratch except the body is form Chars the clothes and glasses are mine.

But the problem is, when i try to import it, it says "Invalid color depth". Why?

Some of the frames are too big for the charset template.. you may need to do some cropping of the sprite before putting it into the template..

For the "invalid Color Depth" error, open up the charset in paint.
Then, File>Save as...
Change "Save as type:" to 256 color bitmap
Then try and load it into RPG Maker.

See the 3rd from the left at the top? edit out the sail add in some oars and you have a canoe or dingy, life boat, whatever really.
