Title: Simple way of showing message window in script form
Post by: stripe103 on January 14, 2010, 09:11:37 PM
Hi! I'm making an save point menu for my game and when it closes I need it to show text in a regular message box.
How do I do to get this happening?

You're not being very clear so I'll guess.
Try this:
print "insert message here"

Just put that into the window that comes up when you select the "script" option for event commands. When you go into your game and interact with that event this will come up...

Sorry if that's not what you wanted.

Thanks for the answer, but you are right, that was not what i meant. I'll try to explain better.

You know the "Show text..."-button in an event.
That is what I want to show, but in script form.

And theRe is no need to be sorry...

Take a look at command_101 in Interpreter 3. That's the Show Message command. If you're not interested in Show Choices or Input Number, then just pay attention to 101 and 401
