Title: Unwinnable battles?
Post by: Jet Prower on December 18, 2009, 02:58:26 AM
I know I'm asking alot of questions, but I have no where else to go to ask questions. Don't forget to help in my Coal topic if you can.

I was wondering, isn't there a way to make unwinnable battles where even if you lose you can make the game keep playing, and not give you the game over screen? I thought there was, but I can't seem to get it to work the way I thought you could make it work.

Make sure you put the rest of your event in the "defeat" handler.

How did you get to this screen? I'm using 2000, just so you know, in case that is a 2003 option there.

If that option isn't available under Enemy Encounter, then you might be able to link it to a common event via your Battle Layout tab in the DB.

It took a bit of working around but I got it to work right now. It was messing up when certain actions would happen I would still get gameover. I got it working now though by having a switch go to another page after the battle ends. If you try to do some actions in the defeat area. it gives you the gamover anyway.
