What's the best way to record stuff from my guitar? :P For an acoustic, mainly.
For a standard acoustic guitar I think your only option is a microphone. You may want to invest in a decent one. I hear good things about the Blue Snowball Microphone.
Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DLub4tDfvI) a demonstration of an acoustic guitar being recorded with a snowball mic.
Oh, oops. Meant to say Electric-Acoustic. :P
Would an instrument usb cable work with it? Malson said good things about this (http://www.amazon.com/LightSnake-STUSBG10-USB-Instrument-cable/dp/B000H7LBB8).
Wth, $70. You know me; I'm 15, and I lack a job and "mass" amounts of money. But the whole idea of a USB would work, I suppose.
Buy a ten dollar microphone and deal with not having money.
I'm looking for recommendations that are cheaper ;9
Get a job. They're free.
Get the cheapest possible tiny desk mounted or whatever microphone and just put it REALLY close to your guitar. Normally that would result in loads of distortion, but normally in windows the +20dB boost is on by default. It sounds very good, considering.

At the age of 15, it's also illegal for me.
And I'll look around for microphones, then. :P
