Title: Joy's Futuristic Charset as Tile E
Post by: Sorohn on November 24, 2009, 05:55:57 AM
I had gotten bored and started to fiddle around with joy's Futuristic Charset and then made it my Tile E.
It appears like this:

You will eventually be able to find more resources I mess with here:

These are pretty terrible. Do you have any idea what the difference between a tileset and a characterset is? Also, the document size is too big to import into VX even if you wanted to. Character sets are animation sheets like NPC character sheets. Tilesets are not animated, they are TILE based. Their names are self explanatory, I think. Making duplicates of the same tile over and over is the largest waste of space ever. People would save more time to rip Joy's graphics and correctly create their own tileset than to rip yours and correct it. Sorry.

No, actually this is in the correct place. It is still a resource - but it's not going in the database for reasons that I've explained.

P.S. Sorry, Sorohn, if I was too strong in my first post. Rough day ^^'

No hard feelings. And yes I noticed the problem a little while ago, before I read the post. Though, strangely enough, I got it on my current project, and it is acting as a starship tileset. Reasons why it works for me, well, I'm not a good resource artist. it was also my first try at this, so I didn't expect it to go to well either. I felt, though, that I needed to add something as well. I mean, I've been around for a while so I felt a little too selfish and guilty for not contributing. But, either way, thanks for the advice, I hope my current resource editing will turn out better.
