Title: Instance Dungeons
Post by: Joshuawy on November 19, 2009, 06:33:18 PM
So, I was playing Pokemon: Red Rescue Team last night and i noticed that the dungeons are never the same. And now Flyff v14 has instanced dungeons. i think the idea of a random dungeon is pretty cool. Would anyone here know how to do this?

The random dungeon generator in the maker is awful, so my only suggestion would be to make 3 or 4 different dungeons, and have a random number variable pick which one the player enters.

that's a good idea, never thought of that, buti do use the random generator for my long dungeons, with a little editing they can come out nice

you do realize that the concept of instancing is unique to MMORPG, yes?

an "instance" is a splinter server containing a single dungeon and the party that it currently belongs to, that way multiple groups can do the same dungeon simultaneously, which is why it's called an "instance"

Also the random dungeon generator is terrible.
