Introduction

First sorry for not being as active as I would like to be here. I forget about sites I really enjoy like this one. Sorry :( anyways this is my latest script and I think its a work of art but then again thats just me.

So you have things you want in a tileset but you dont really know how to place it in a tileset right? Well this here script lets you import pictures and lets you place them in a tileset grid and then export it into a tileset.

@game_guy - uh oh, getting an "extraction failed" once it starts to extract the tileset folder. tried this on more than one workstation ~g

None of my friends are getting this error, no one else is, it works fine on my computer. I dont know whats the problem sorry.

Nice but can you put in an eraser or an undo? I tried making one of my tilesets with this and had to keep starting over cause of mistakes or mis-clicking. :( After an hour I gave up and went back to the good ol photoshop.

I don't have to do any of that in Photoshop. Tilesets are 256 pixels big. set that for width, pop in any random number for height, I like 2000 to start with. Set grid to 32x32 pixels. Boom start working. Nothing to calculate. Need more height? use crop tool, select whole area, then drag it down past the bottom of the image, 'crop', it adds to the image however much you pulled down. finished? crop it back down. Can't align something right? there's a snap to grid' and an align option (align right/left/center/top/bottom).

There's no math, no cutting images out. I don't grasp what you mean by taking a screen shot, only time I need to do that is when making a custom menu and I need the x-y cords to place things and photoshop also gives you that just by hovering your mouse over the image.

So yeah, I would use it over Photoshop, it's a lot quicker and easier and I've used it for years. CS4 makes it even easier. It's even fantastic for pixel work and I do all that in it as well.

Dont worry about the erasing guys :) I'm working on one right now. Well I'm trying to anyways its going to take some time just hang in there.

Guess what guys? I implemented an erase function! All you do is click erase, it works with the snap to grid as well, and it erases a 32x32 area.

I'm just hoping someone realizes this, and does something about it.
