Title: Making Gravity based attacks [RPG Maker 2K3]
Post by: Xenomic on September 21, 2009, 06:59:16 AM
Here's one that I have yet to figure out.....making Gravity based attacks, such as Demi, Graviga, Maelstrom.....all of those that either reduces the party's HP by 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, or single digits. Is this possible to replicate in the current system for 2k3 at all?

Is there an option to make a variable based on player's hp? If yes, then make the move do damage equal to half hp, or w/e you select.

Yeah, you'll need a lot of variable work and battle commands in every monster group in your game, but it's possible.

At the beginning of your project, set variables equal to each of your characters' max HP (Under the "Hero" Operand), then in every M. Group, set a trigger that when your gravity spell is used, it reduces everyone in the party's HP by that variable.

That's a really vague outline & it requires a lot of work, but you can get it functioning if you spend some time on it.

Aye, that does sound like quite a bit of work. If this was my crossover RPG that I was going to do before my Touhou RPG, I'd probably do it. Now I need to think of just how often I'd use that in the Touhou RPG...hmmm. I'll keep that in mind though.
