Title: D&D Online
Post by: Sophist on September 05, 2009, 06:49:50 PM
Apparently shit is free now.

Limited free, but not like Runescape where they swindle the game from you. More like limiting two races and two classes, some larger scale quests and stupid shit like auctions and storage.

Not gonna make some HUGE THREAD EVERYONE MUST PLAY AND BE ORGANIZED bullshit.

http://www.ddo.com/ddosupport/download-ddo

Download if you want, i'll be playing regardless.

Edit: Registration opens on 9/9/09, which is the same day the Rock Band The Beatles will be out. I'll probably end up playing this on that next weekend or some shit.

You have to pay to be a Drow... I'm not happy about that :(

So I can download the game, but I can't register an account? I've been trying to get it to work for a little while now, and I can't find a product key anywhere.

This is absurd.

The point remains that you can download it but still can not register. Sorry if you didn't know that I implied that I was referring to the current time. Sometimes, I forget how stupid you are, Anski. ;8

I just thought you couldn't read, seeing as you haven't before in the past and you don't seem to keen on starting to read things beforehand.

Hence my being here where reading is necessary to at least register on RMRK.

And it's not like you haven't skipped over things. People tend to do it all the time. When I just go and follow the "Last Post by" thing, I don't want to read everything if it consists of multiple pages.

But this discussion is best saved for elsewhere.

I don't see what's so absurd about letting people download and install the game before letting people register.

I mean, that way they have it installed and all they have to do is a few minutes of typing and they can play.

Registration failed, it says. Nobody on the forums have posted about this and apparently I can't create a topic and google gives me nothing.

Shit game.

This game works fine for me. I started playing about 2 or 3 days ago. Pretty fun stuff. My name is Dulstaft on there, but I think I'm gonna remake my character, so yeah. >.>

@Moo I personally like being able to pre-download  :). And that there was a beta for it so beta users can download but why make it public I know not.
I believe that when it came out it was subscription based, wild guess: for people who lost their media too.

Anywhooo my username for the community is jackrex if that helps but I'm still downloading via quick download since I don't want to be up til 3 dl'ing the high res.

But if it's ready to play, why not just let the people play it? >_>

Because there was a beta for D&D Ebberon Unlimited and when it originally launched it was (I think) subscription based? It came out a few years ago I think.

Anyway, I started a Cleric named Sauler Eledritch. He's pretty neat so far but I may re-roll.
