Title: Problem with pictures.
Post by: Mochah on August 19, 2009, 04:53:14 AM
Hi, I'm pretty new at this stuff.
I was testing out some pictures, but it seems like the picture is surrounded by rough edges!
It wasn't like this before I put it into the game...
I get why it looks more pixely but why the thicker rough outline?

Is there a way to fix this?

RPG Maker 2000 and 2003 display at a 320x240 resolution. The image you provided is much bigger than that, therefore it has to be scaled down in size to fit the resolution of the program. Then the entire video game screen is stretched back out to fit the monitor size, including the image you just scaled down. There's no way to fix this without using a newer version of RPG Maker, unfortunately.

I made it smaller for you and added transparency in Photoshop. Tell me if this works better.

I tried the new image, but an error comes up: "Unsupported PNG image" :(

Ohh, but it's ok I figured it out (the answer was on the topic under mine haha ;D)
Thanks anyway!
