Title: [RMXP] Requesting a battler picture and a squirrel monster picture
Post by: Shadow Phoenix on August 10, 2009, 09:45:10 PM

I found a sprite maker, and after some quick edits, I got this. However, I don't think I can make a battler picture for this character in the RMXP style. Can somebody make a battler picture for me, please? As long as it resembles the sprite (an 18-24 year old male), and has brown eyes (^^; Still need to fix that part about him), then it would be perfect. Please don't have him holding any weapons or shields in the battler picture. If you want to know what pose I would prefer, maybe a thinking while standing pose? *shrugs* As long as the pose is possible for an 18-24 year old male of average stature, it should be fine

Also, having some slight troubles with another character:

This is a secret character in the game. I edited the sprite for the Naga. That isn't the part I am having problems with, however...

This is. As you can tell, I am still working on the body. The Naga pixel art has so many pixels that I have to do it by hand, which wrecks some of the outlines. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Clarified a little better

If you have photoshop you can go to Select > Color Range, and click the blue color in the hair, then hold shift, and select all of the other blue hues in the hair. Everything that is white will be selected, and everything that is black wont.

Once you have your selection you can get any of the selection tools and hold alt down to subtract some of the stuff you didn't want selected.. once you have a complete selection of the hair just desaturate it, then go to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation, click the colorize button, and then make it the color you want.

I did this for you, and I'll leave the rest of the fixing up, up to you

Right Click, Save As-or you'll have a black background if you copy/paste

Gah, why didn't I think of that? >.< Oh well. Thanks for doing that for me. Want credit?

Bumping since it has been 24 hours and because I am updating this thread with a request for a squirrel battler and a rabbit battler

Only ones I have found are a little too 3D for my liking or mutated like hell. All I need is a normal looking squirrel and a normal looking rabbit. It is for a hunting system in my game

when you're looking up what you want on google, try adding the word "illustration" at the end of your search.

Just tried that. Nothing fit in with the RMXP pictures =/

Maybe if I drew a picture, then somebody made it into something usable by RMXP...?

Then I would have a consistent style and wouldn't have to worry...
