in the game you can go do many of the proffesions, you hunt, fish, mine, woodcut, tailor, smith, leatherwork
(i put smithing i with mining and tailering in with leatherworking)
it maybe a pointless game but its ok.....

Sadly, unless you have incredibly fun and in-depth skills and a story that at least keeps the player motivated, it'll crash and burn.

The only reason why people can stand to grind in RuneScape (even if they may not want to admit it, and even if it didn't start out that way) is because they want to brag to their friends about their Fire Cape or Achievement Cape or massive house and show it off to less accomplished players. Unless you plan on recreating a MMO, I'd suggest staying away from a profession system like that.

any available ABS or SVBS is not noob friendly as far as scripting is concerned. If you don't know any basic scripting, then it's basically hopeless. I suggest learning some basics before even jumping into editing the scripts to fit your game.

meh, we'll keep it here and let it slowly sink. You can delete your own topics as well by the way. You can lock em too.

One of my games turned into a profession based thing for the first hour of gameplay. So many people complained. It was a disaster. You need to have fights / battles.
