Farewell, Walter Cronkite (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Cronkite).
Way too many celebrity deaths lately. ._.
I'm not sad. This was before my time. Probably everyone in the forum.
Haha, I think zxm is right on this. I'm glad you posted the wiki on him cause I had no idea who that was lol.
I know who he was.
I spent a week studying him during History last year; he and his epic handlebar 'stache could do no wrong. He made LBJ look like a douche, but meh.
He was my journalistic idol. ._.
._.

Music is forever, the news only happens once. I could care less what the weather was in May 5 1960.

Wow, really?
Cronkite was the face of
American journalism for over 50 years, not just a fucking weatherman. Events only happens once and so we can only capture that moment in history once to keep it forever and remind ourselves what Journalism used to be, and Cronkite happened to be the face of almost all of the news during World War I, II and the Cold War. I'm glad you don't care about history, but not everyone has to just ignore events in the past because they're not currently ongoing.
I'm aware that this is the most trusted man in America, but I'm not American. This is the first time I've heard this guy. To say I don't care about history, bollocks. You don't have a right to say. So like fuck off, I guess? There is no reason to get on my ass about everything I say, which it seems to be that you are. But to me, he reports it, he wasn't much part of wars. Other than reporting it. I think the comment of me not caring is that fact that like 10 famous people died at once so I'm like, great, CNN is going to report this for a week. IRAN right now is history!
May he rest in peace.
Even though I don't know who he was. ._.

Yeah, me neither. I was just bringing up some points. :P
IRAN right now, too. In fact, IRAN so far that I ended up in a strange land where people said "eh" and nobody knew who Walter Cronkite was.

Meant to say Vietnam and the Cold War. :vb:
