So, I'm trying to make it so when a character uses their final attack, it'll pull up a common event, then the character will say a few words and blast the enemy into oblivion.
However, I'm having a problem. What if, perchance, the character is not in the right party slot? What if I set the event to force the action of, say, party member 1. When party member 4 uses the attack. I tried wrapping my mind around it, but, it seems that the forced action has to go off first, or else it won't work.
Any ideas? Or is this just the 2:00 am ravings of a lunatic?
Just apply it to all, say like "if guy #1 does it do THIS" "guy 2 then THIS" "guy 3 then THIS" "guy 4, nothing, because no one cares about guy 4"
I don't know exactly how to help you, but from the little I understand of scripting and what I understand of your complaint that's the best I can get.
Never mind, I figured it out. For some reason, If you force an action before the actor makes a move, they won't use a regular move. So, I just decreased the speed to -999 and it works fine now.
