Title: Stack Level Too Deep
Post by: wort wort wort on June 22, 2009, 04:25:28 PM
I think I have some compatability error and I desperately need this script to work. "Script 'Yanfly Menu Redux' line 640:SystemStackError occured stack level too deep"
I've got numerous scripts and I'm afraid it's a compatability issue but I don't know. Can someone help me? I would list my scripts but I've gotta go to drivers ed soon. ;9

Well, list them when you come back. It's definitely a compatibility issue.

My first guess, blind, would be that it is a naming issue.

Whenever I got a "Stack level too deep" error, it was usually because I had pasted the same script twice.

I used to get that error and rearranging my script order fixed it.

I would guess the error comes from having both KGC_CustomCommand and Scene_MenuRedux. I removed the KGC_Custom Command script and the error went away, so that is where the incompatibility is coming from. If I looked at them closer, I would likely be able to diagnose the exact problem, but really, there is nothing the KGC script does that can't be done by Yanfly's Scene Menu Redux. I suggest you just get rid of KGC_CustomCommand altogether and see if you can set the menu up through Scene Menu Redux instead.

I agree with MA. lol. Yanfly's script is extremely versatile and already includes other common scripts and is way nicer than KGC's CC in this respect.

I thought yanflys script was an extension so an error on my part. :o Anyway I fixed it by removing KGC's script and reordering the scripts. I just love people they're so helpful :D
