Title: Is this possible ? (Conversion to play on the NDS or PSP)
Post by: landofshadows on May 27, 2009, 07:06:09 PM
Hi All,

I have been looking on the home brew sites for the NDS, and found an RPG maker program that someone has made, but it nowhere near as good as RPG Maker XP... Now I know the actual maker program wont port over or be emultated (It would be amazing if it could be though !!)...

What I hope someone would be able to do is create a script that will export the games made in it from RPG maker XP to folders that can be loaded onto a R4 or TT card for the NDS... Someone has allready done this by the looks of things:- http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=20938

If anyone has any ideas on how this was done that would be great...

people there are idiots.
all they did was use RMXP graphics, they programmed the DS game themselves.

it's all a load of crap.

Hummm Darn... N Blast !!

Yet I have found more people claiming to have made an RPG maker for the DS:- http://forum.palib.info/index.php?topic=5400.0

Basically the idea is the Script will compile and export all the graphics and music to folders (Like RPG Maker does anyway) But then compile them into a NDS rom file rather than an EXE file... I suppose though hwoever does this will need a NDS DevKit...

If anyone ever made a Convertor tool, I think it could make them a packet of cash... I would pay for such a convertor !!

Here is the best RPG Maker for the DS:- http://www.globoeil.fr/vgmds/

Now... By the look of things you can import RPG Maker XP Graphics... but the engine sucks...

I have found a site that states they can convert RPG Maker 2000:- http://easyrpg.sourceforge.net/
