The remakes are sort of valid, seeing as it's very difficult to get a complete pokedex in the fourth gen games (for those that bother) right now. Also: G/S/C are the best pokemon games ever made and a remake of them is good stuff.

Nice, well, I may finally like gold/silver

I stopped playing pokemon once I realised that I can defeat the elite 4 the first time with level 40s

well g/s/c did have the ability to go back to kanto to fight the other elite 4 that was allot harder :/

I hope they make Kanto much harder. In the old game they were easier than the elite four you already had beaten.

Also, it's kinda strange to announce a game without screenshots, does anyone know if some are up?

Nope, none. Been looking around for some myself, if there are any they're probably hidden deep in japanese sites. You really would expect screens for something that's going to be released this year :P

people talking about the game being easy, did you get to Red in Mt.Silver?
He had 80's and up, the fight was awesome.

[removed, nothing new.]

Silver is the best Pokemon game in my eyes, and that fight with Red is the best fight in the game. The really awesome part though was that Pikachu, the best part of the fight. Thanks for the info, gonna love this.

It's gold and silver in Pearl's graphics. I would have rather seen gold and silver in ruby's graphics.

OOOH, WOW. Walking... back and forth.

Yes to that. G/S/C were great, Johto or whatever had the best pokemon. Hoen felt lame.
I still like my Rex the best, so hopefully we can catch Balbasaurs without all this trading nonsense. <That's easier with Wifi, though.

To anyone: What was your favorite start in G/S/C? I didn't like Chickorita's final evolution, but the first were fine, Cyndoquil and Totadile are sweet.

I've never actually used todoile or cyndaquil. They just didn't look as inviting

I used Cyndaquil my fist time through.

Edit: Yes. My FIST time through! -punches game-

Me too. I used Charmander in Red but then I started to like Bulbasaur more. I still don't know how to spell it.
