Title: Need a few questions answered.
Post by: Outbreak on April 02, 2009, 02:27:31 PM
I am currently in the process of creating a game, that will have everything in it.

So far i have created Fishing, Farming, Mining, Theiving.

Fishing has gone well.

I have a question for the rest.

Lets say you run across a apple patch and see a apple bush.
I want my character to only get one apple, from a bush with one apple, and then the event is done.
I know how to do this in a normal event, but what about a Common Event?
There isn't pages as in the other events.

Same thing for mining, but i want my character to have a 50% chance of getting ore or not.
How is this done?

Thank you very much, and try your best to answer these.

personally, I'd just copy and paste over normal events, for the bushes.

as far as the ore, random number, random chance.
it's not too difficult.

random number from 1-100
conditional: if greater than 50
etc...

The copy and paste idea was a first thought, i just wanted to see if maybe a common event could be used.

Thank you.
