Title: [REQUEST] A Script for Adding more than 5 Chip/Tilesets
Post by: Chase_Leader on February 02, 2009, 05:54:51 PM
I just recently switched from RM2k to RMVX and not used to the scripting quite yet.
Please don't get mad if this is already on the list somewhere, I looked and did not see anything.
I just wanted to know if it was possible to add more than 5 chip/tilesets (A,B,C,D,E) are the normal 5
Is it possible to add lets say an F Tileset and so on?

Not easily, no. There is no way to add it so that it appears in the editor ~ however there is one out there that sllows you to use replacement tilesets for maps that you want them to. I think th script is on rpgmakervx.net

Thanks for the link, I'll check into it when I get home from work.
I did however find a workaround solution.
I thought it was a clever idea to add tiles in a character set...
then in theory have as many as you want...I don't know how
convenient that would be but its something...maybe.

I think that'll make it kinda lag.

Too many events in a map can make it lag.

Thats probably true... but if you just need a feel additional pieces then it would be very beneficial.
Maybe the pieces you do use as a character set could be universal pieces such as trees and stuff...to cut down on any possible lag.

I also heard that you can use a panoramas from a screenshot from previous games or past versions of rpg maker.
Maybe there is no real way to work around this but I'll keep trying.
With the two ideas in moderation it would be like having another Tile Set, if not more.
