Title: True Blood
Post by: Holkeye on January 23, 2009, 03:27:23 AM
I got the first season a while ago, but the pilot episode seemed a little cheesy to me. Knowing that Alan Ball is a pretty good writer, I decided to watch a bit more, and it's pretty good so far. Anna Paquin has a smoking body.

Any particular channel this is on?

It's on HBO. Seriously though, if you end up getting it, don't let the first episode put you off. I watched it like 2 months ago and stopped, then today I just watched 3 in a row. It gets a lot better.

Yeah, I don't get HBO either. I dropped it after they canceled John From Cincinnati, and to be honest, there hasn't been much worth watching since then. I'm sure you can find a stream of it somewhere though, like you said.

I loved the concept, and the music. It just didn't quite have that HBO "feel" (for lack of a better word) that I've come to love so much. HBO does display the best of television as its standard, though.
