Allright. So, ive done this all before, including installing the trial and everything. Recently ive been having trouble with windows, and i wanted to install Rpg maker XP onto a newer computer, that hadnt had it yet... which is the one i was having trouble with. You see, every time i try to install the offical client, wether its the RTP or just Rpg maker itsself, i get an error message saying: " The loader successfully loaded the windows installer, but failed to run the windows installer package" 'C\Documents and Settings\Tim\Desktop\RPG Maker XP\Setup1\RTP_Standard_102.msi". Does anybody know what the problem is?
Go to windows update and suck it dry? =o
Coincidentally, ive looked up some information and figured out the problem, and have fixed it. Apparently this computer needed an update for the windows installer, because when i updated it it did the trick. Lesson learned.
