Title: Quick question about tilesets
Post by: leafnut on January 20, 2009, 06:43:50 PM
OK i wanna know how to add more than just one map type into the section at 1 time...  Example; right click your map (toolbar on the side), click map properties, tileset... i want to be able to add what ever is under tile set in my game play...  so i have more tree's, signs, stumps, houses etc...

i looked at the other post just below mine and have no clue what they mean.. step by step instruections pleease as i am the biggest nub at this stuff..

where do i click to merge the tilestes.. i clicked; Tools>database>pop up window whowing the tilesets i want to incoperate into one map... IE i want forest, castle, woods, ect all on one map.. so i can add trees, from "forest" and have a castle... or make one big map..

1) download GIMP
2) open the tileset(s) you want to combine
3) make a new document which is the same width as the tileset(Ss), make the height equal to the height of all tileset(s) added together
4) copy tileset
5) paste into new document and align at the top
6) repeat 4 and 5 for each subsequent tileset
7) import into RMXP
8) ????
9) profit!

He said download gimp, that's the program you want to use.  It'll tell you the dimensions of the images, and you want to open and save them with it.

Anyways, the RTP depends on whether you're using Postality Knights or not.

If you're using Postality Knights, the RTP is inside your RMXP folder, go to graphics then tilesets.

If you're using the official english version then the RTP is wherever you installed the RGSS-RTP Standard, I don't know the default location since I installed it 3 years ago, but again find that folder and go to graphics then tilesets.
