Title: Overwhelming script extraction
Post by: da good king on January 15, 2009, 04:47:47 AM
Alrighty, I'm trying to make most of the scripts in my game of my own creation, but I've run into a common daunting disposition: the battle system. I COULD do it, but it would probably take a very long time, and it's been done many times I believe. It just seems silly not to just give credit on the base for it, rather than spend weeks on it. I'm going to edit it ALOT, but again I need a base that would normally take forever.

Anyways, I have a really good one, but I'm very overwhelmed by one large problem: The author of the starter kit it comes from just had to be ridiculously over complex with his kit...and I can't seem to be able to find what scripts I need and which ones I don't for the battle system. I'm a somewhat new scripter, so I feel like it would take me longer to extract the battle system than make my own.  :-[

If anybody would be interested in helping me Extract the battle system from this SK, I would be more than grateful. :) Naturally, I will give credit for this. (Which would stand out in the credits since the only other people in it are me and the SK developer.)

If you're interested in helping me, I'll pm you a copy of the SK and the reason I won't say what battle system it is. >.<

I was just checkin to make sure, did you get my pm? I sometimes have problems with my internet, especially with msg boards, so I'm not sure if you did.
