I thought we had a geek topic about this
anyway...
Quoteit doesn't reduce system requirements (for example, it still needs Direct3D graphics and 1 GB RAM to be worthwhile), it doesn't undo security decisions like UAC, and, except for specific scenarios like booting, it doesn't really perform significantly better. If you have software or hardware that's incompatible with Vista, it'll almost certainly be incompatible with Windows 7 too

though he still ends up being optimistic for the release.
I believe this (http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,30447.0.html) is what you were looking for.
Anyway, sticking with XP once again.

and 90% of rmrk :)
well since I'm on vista already, and since windows 7 is at the very least a slight improvement, I'll be upgrading.
to a fucking mac :D
If I was on Vista, I would upgrade to 7, but for now I'm sticking with XP. Like Anski said the other day, until 7 proves its stability and usefulness, why change?

Vista is stable. It's just slower.
Is Windows 7?

From what I've heard, it's no less stable than vista.

Regardless to say again: He didn't say Vista was unstable, he said that until 7 proves its stability and usefulness he's going to stick with XP.
He means when the full OS is out, the beta hasn't been out that long plus "from what you heard" isn't exactly a trustworthy citation.
Go die in a war.
sigh...
That would seem more relevant if Nouman's post was still here.
Oh wait that was in another thread.
.-.
Since they're aiming it at netbooks they have to make it more resource friendly =o
I might try it out on my laptop sometime, but it only has 512mb memory =/. Really, Microsoft should stop trying to kill off Win XP. I like how each time they try there's a consumer backlash and they end up extending XP's lifespan a little more, now to June 2009 or something.
