How do I make quests? Ive seen the topic on the amount of objects carried but I want to know how to make a quest start and end, please. Im now using XP.
Well, what kind of quest were you planning on making? I help you set it up and get things rolling. A quest is more than it sounds. It isn't just one thing you set up with an event. It can take many many events and a lot of items and dialog, or it can take a couple quests to fill a condition. It's up to you.
A quest like, kill a monster, get some exp if its killed, find some objects, give them to a guy, stuff like that. I saw how to on the other topic but I dont know how the quests start. I see in the screenshot on that topic its on event page 2, meaning I think thats the end of the quest, not beginning. I need to know how to begin quests and end them. :)
basically
start with this
npc:
lol do this quest for me, git me a potion
switch:quest is on
new event page for npc, place npc sprite again
this time look at the boxes with switch at the left side check it and put switch quest
now for npc do this
conditional branch:
if hero has potion
npc: cool lol
switch quest complete
else
npc: dude git me a potion
make another event page
this time switch quest complete is in the switches box
npc: thanks

Nessiah summed it up basically...You could use self-switches instead of normal switches if you wanted...Not that it makes a difference really.

self switches are reset on map entry.
What about getting the ncp to give you something to deliver to another ncp somewhere else? ???
