Finalized Map:
Just need feed back on the effects. But the layout is staying. :)

did you make it or just the text?
I asked my roommate for the illustration, but yes, I did the text.
damn that's nice O_o
Maybe make the text a bit brighter, so it won't blend too much :3
Mm. Yes. I was thinking about throwing a glow behind it.
Thats pretty epic.
I don't entirely remember what language I chose for the title, but it's a mesh of two words, Hunter's Quest.
The illustration looks sweet :3
Text might need some texture though.
I really like it, looks very professional! Although, like levi said, perhaps the text could stick out some more?
Um... texture...texture texture... Mkay, I'll go see what I can do about giving it depth and texture. I'll update first post then.
I think Mod2 is pretty as it is :)
World map looks nice too! Add a compass @_@
The world map's starburst might need some toning down, try to lower its opacity.
EDIT : Found a tut http://www.tutorial9.net/photoshop/add-visual-texture-3-easy-steps/
I like Mod1 for the title more. The reflection is kinda distracting.
And the map looks awesome.
Levi, I'm going to post a few Maps soon :)
Updated Maps. I think I like map 4 the most, even if it may appear off, it actually fits quite perfect with the direction of game play.
I'm not very fond of the colors @n@
Of 4? because I fixed those :X I didn't like the colors that much either.
Edit: Fix'd but not posted I mean.
Ok :)
I used that psdtuts tip on map making on a class project once ^^
love the way it looks
Yep. It I have to go through a lot of clouds before I get about what I'm looking for as far as a map is concerned. I randomly stumbled on it one day. Great idea for this.
!_! I finally remembered!
I also read that tut quite some time ago lol : http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,26863.0.html
:)
Updated first post with the final geography map. I found a combo that fits the geography perfect. Anyways, I'd like feedback on the effects please. :)
I think the patches of darker colour especially the darkest patch at the top part of the map needs to be toned
down and a bit blurring on edges.
Try this :
- Duplicate the darker colour layer
- Apply a gaussian blur filter to the layer at the bottom
It should give out a much softer and subtler look. :)
Other than that, it looks great.

Oh my... Now I know how to use photoshop I know what your talking about :o
Anyway, back on topic. I'm completly jealous of your graphical skills! I think it looks great! Perhaps doing what leventhan said would make it even better..! :)

Also, I had taken the eraser tool and threw down it's hardness 0% and opacity about 30% and rolled over large sections of the grid as well to dampen it a bit.
Eeeexcellent :3
You created a cloud in photoshop then adjusted its contrast and brightness to create some land layers. Then you add some effects and brushes . waw. that's a great idea :D
Actually, the only part of that that was correct was the part where I started with rendering clouds.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or admiration.
ow, my bad :D, its my way of admiring something... aw lolz. sorry for the misconception. Hey, you have a demo for that game? Im looking forward to it already. tnx^^
I don't even have a topic.
Why dnt you create one? ;D
I'm not going to join the bandwagon of every other person here (except for those few) who posts a game topic then abandons it later. I'm busy with more important things than to spend a lot of time on a game.
