Hi There,
I'm reasonably new here.. but i am very talented with events.. and to be honest.. i want to see what event systems you guys can think of.. possibly even implement them into my own projects!. Well lets see some requests then guys! :)
Make a decent cooking event system. I've seen a lot. They're extremely unorganized. I could make one myself and to be honest I won't use the one I'm asking for, but I figure I'll see if you can do it. ;)
Then explain how to use it so a new guy can learn to use it. :)
haha no sweat.. but do you want this system to consist of single ingredient cooking? such as cooking RAW fish.. or would you like a multiple ingredient system?.. such as Mix bread with flour makes dough, cook dough = bread..
explain some more details please? :)
Both. ;)
i'll make a basic one.. with like 2-3 items cooked.. so that people can get an idea and see how to do it then can make their own..
I'll make it easy to create more recipe's.
edit: would you like me to add a leveling up process?
You should make it without the leveling up process first, and then go back after and add it if it is needed. Keep it simple for as long as possible and then bulk it out is what I say. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
lol.. well the way i started it just now.. i made it rather complicated.. so i think i may start over.. trying to keep things.. simpler.
Tell you what, For started i'll just post up a 1 item cooking method.. after that i'll post a multiple item method.
No need for a level system. When you finish you can post it in the event's tutorial or event system database :)
Level systems are quite easy to embed. Just a matter of where to place some +X Variables and how you keep track of that number. Keep it simple, no biggy. 2-3 ingredients is fine for recipes.
I like this idea ^^
It is good training.
I would like a bank with interest over time which allows more than 99 999 999 in the bank. Let's just up to 15 digits instead of 8 digits.
*hugs*

hmmm.. that one might be a bit harder.. i'd have to find a way to bypass the 8 digit max XD
Just use two digits to store the number. ^_^
Here's one for you, I'd like to make a challenge where you have to speak to a certain number of characters before they disappear (Think of a quest where, for example you have to try to talk to some leprechauns before they hide), I can use the move away from player action to make them move farther away, but not to make the npc's dissapear or leave the map altogether. Any ideas?

Try using self-switches, and make a new event page with nothing in it, blank graphic, condition would be Self-Switch x is on.
x being the self switch which you turned on previously.
Self-switches only applies to that one event, btw whilst Switches applies globally.
I think Self-switches are global in common events though
Self-switches are not global in common events. See my Common Event Tutorial (http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,31620.html) for information about how self-switches work in common events.
@T.R.U.T.H:
The topic creator has not been active in 2009 so I would not count on any tutorials nor responses from chaosmakr44.
If you are having a specific problem I suggest you post a topic in RMXP Troubleshooting (http://rmrk.net/index.php/board,109.0.html)
