Do you end the event with "erase event"? If so, unless its like an autostart, you don't need to do that.
Post a screenshot of the npc event.
Does he disappear before, during, or after you interact with the NPC? If it's before, it might be a character sheet flaw if you using a custom character sheet. If it's during, do you have any other events that might affect this one in anyway and how? And if it's after, then did you:
- End the event in 'erase event'?
- End the event with a switch to turn to a new page in that same event and forget to set the same character graphic for the next page as well?
