So yeah, they're making a two-part, live-action Akira movie. Leonardo DiCaprio is going to be in it, but there aren't many other details yet. IMDB has the date set as 2011, so it's still a while away.
WHAT?
...
LIVE ACTION?
I honestly have no idea whether to be excited or repulsed.
It actually depends on the cast and how well they carry it out. It would be good if they live up to the expectations, but usually it's a fuss over nothing. So, you can't say anything until the trailer (actually, the movie) comes out.
It's going to be awesome. When has any movie that DiCaprio acts in been bad? I can't remember any.
I didn't like Catch Me If You Can or the Aviator, but I agree that generally the movies he's been in were awesome starting with What's Eating Gilbert Grape?
I've never seen The Aviator, but I actually really liked Catch. It wouldn't have been as good if it wasn't a true story, but I thought it was pretty good.
I hate it when they announce the movie 1-2 years before. Ok, 6 months before is ok but in 1-2 years, i'm like "Oh, C'mon man. Just 398 days left for The Dark Knight....Gosh time is so slow"
Would be pretty interesting to see a live-action take on Akira. ;8
PEW PEW PEW
Isn't that the movie where they shoot lasers at each other and their hair turns gold?
I hope they pull this off right >__>;;
They better. Akira was a great movie :3 I hope it's the Akira I'm thinking about, lol.
