Title: How do you make a "falling" illusion?
Post by: gameo on July 07, 2008, 11:03:14 PM
Well I'm wondering on how you could trick the eye, by probably lets say have some clouds in the background or something, and that background then "loops" downwards, creating a "falling" animation, while the player merely is in the middle of the screen all the time.

This would be useful for a small cutscene, which well, I of course need =)

That means that you have to be able to write messages as well.

If this belongs in the script section, feel free to move it.

Thanks in advance!

Step 1: Set the character's passability to through.
Step 2: Make the character move to all directions (Up, down, left, right) as if he's spinning
Step 3: The character moves down across the map (through passability)
Step 4: Falling Sound

sorry for a necropost, but you could use one of the character upsidedown, eyes closed, as if knocked out, and then spinning?
