Get a job or steal it, or find a friend who may have a spare one left around and will let you get it.

Also now that I think about, I that could be on purpose like how they recorded or uploaded or the cam they used and etc.

Try uninstalling your drivers and then reinstalling them. It could be just something simple as bad drivers.

QuoteYoutube is displaying standard 4:3 videos correctly on my widescreen display, it isn't stretching them anymore. How can I fix this?

As for chess that kind of artifacting looks like it's your video memory. Google a program called GPU-Z, get it, run it, post screenshots of the main and sensor tabs here.

Youtube is displaying the entire flash applet as if it were being stretched. The "Press ESC to exit fullscreen" window, the related videos, the video and the play/pause/seek/volume bar are all being stretched. They should be small and pretty, yet they're all large and pixelated.

jesus christ that is a weak graphics chip o_o

Also, I see nothing wrong in your screenshot. The player is obviously meant to fill the space it's confined to, as it.. is, yet no matter how wide or how tall it's displayed, it won't distort the aspect ratio of the video you're watching.

It's supposed to have 256mb of video ram, but it has always said 64. \(O_o)/

Before the Youtube player didn't stretch out all of the items, but now it does. It looks bad.

Before, the bottom bar looked somewhat like this: http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/6623/555uv0.png

Now it looks like this: http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/6194/62786129sy9.png

Say a video player on your PC is playing a video with a resolution of 640x480, and you go fullscreen. It's much more efficient if instead of playing the video and resampling it to 1440x1080 (if I did it) if it just showed it in 640x480. Youtube is doing the same thing.

Added ontop of that is that VLC will output via Drect3D or OpenGL so it's 3d accelerated, but until flash player 10 comes along then flash isn't.

Youtube is saving alot of CPU usage for you by not going fullscreen in a higher resolution than is needed, i.e. enough to show the video itself =)

Why would I want to save CPU usage? It's not like you can do anything in fullscreen other than watch the video. This is just silly. ;o;

Idk, maybe so you don't lag or spend hours buffering one minute of video ?_? That's just my guess.

Background processes? Saving power?

They're easier to see and use like that, why would you complain.
