HAPPY FISH MONTH!!!
I figured mermaids must get bored of eating fish all the time. So I painted this illustration depicting one method mermaids could use for hunting animals that live above the sea.
PSCS2, round brush, one layer.

Still amazing as ever.
Wow, I wish I can draw like that.
Great job gary!
One problem, that bird at the bottom would be obliterated.
What sword said is the only thing that bothers me. You couldn't even poke a bird with that big honkin' thing less ya held it still. o_O
Totally rocks though.
You should draw a mermaid war. Two armies of mermaids and mermen riding war fish.
Thanks for the comments and crits. Made some minor changes, including resizing that giant spearhead in the foreground.
While I do not claim to be an expert on the sport of bird-stabbing, I would still submit that it would be rather difficult with a weapon of that fashion. perhaps something the thickness of the pole, ending in a longer, needle-esque point?
Hapless nitpicking aside, fantastic job on that resize- and the increased size of the wound on the foremost bird. :3
Hmm, it's obvious my pictures lack authenticity. I will try to improve on that.
Excellent work garygill
It's a joy to the eye.
*hugs*

Cool a fellow digital painter around here. Very dynamic, I like it.

Wow, that blew me away! Really sweet.

I think those are water droplets, ahref.
Yeah, haha they are water droplets. =P
