Title: [REQUEST] Resize and Add Head
Post by: devonValentine on June 05, 2008, 01:50:39 AM
Ok... so I tried to do this myself, and I failed horribly. The heads were crooked and the sprites were distorted due to the resizing.

Anyways, what I need is... Gunslinger Male AND Female from Ragnarok Online.

I got the sheets from a site I found through Google, but... all the sheets I found were headless, which I don't understand.

But to the point!

Can someone attach the heads properly and resize them to RTP size? If so, it would be greatly appreciated.

Here are the links to the spritesheets and the heads.

Female Gunslinger Body

Male Gunslinger Body

Female Heads (12th one down please)

Male Heads (12th one down as well, please)

Basically, a rundown of what I need is... the regular walking sprites, resized into RTP size with heads attached. I'm using RMXP, so whatever the regular RTP size for the character sets in that is.

Err, if this is too much trouble, please tell me and I can figure out what to do, or if you know of some that are already made, please direct me to them and I'll save you the trouble. =D

Thanks in advance, and no rush. Just whenever someone gets a chance. =D

I'd work on it but I don't have the time at the moment.
So good luck with that.

Ok. I'd like to update this and say that I need it as soon as possible... which means, hopefully within a week. It isn't that hard of a task, I'm not asking you to create an entirely new character set from scratch, jjust resize the normal walking graphics of the Gunslinger sprite sheets and attach the heads... not hard.

Thanks in advance again.

So is anyone going to try to do this or am I going to have to change the main characters of my game?

Tell you what.  I'm about to leave for a very good friend's graduation.  When I get back, if it's not too late, I'll try to undertake it.  In the likely event that I can't I'll be sure to tell you and apologize like crazy.

Err... I hinted a bit of sarcasm in that last message... but if you get it done I'll be eternally grateful. =D

If not... I'll try to do it myself... but last time... the heads were crooked and the entire thing was distorted... BLAH! ... maybe I should do something more simple for my main characters? lol

Ugh... I attempted to do it myself... the Female is attached.

Once I saw it in-game... I didn't even bother trying to do the Male.

OK, I've got heads attached to the male body, just need to move the different part to different places and resize.  Check out what I have so far.

Cool. You rock. I couldn't get the heads on straight... I'm a dork, I know.

Anyways, thanks for trying this. Keep me updated on your progress. =D

Thanks in advance for everything.

Well, I haven't resized it yet, so it might go grainy when I do.

Out of curiosity, how did you resize yours?

Bah, I'm so bad at these forum things... I edited because I realized it wasn't resized, XP. It was just mini-ed in the post.

But erm, I just used 50% resize in Paint... I don't have any of the good programs like Paintshop or anything...

BUT! If you could get it to stay mini-ed like the one in the post... BEFORE you click it to enlarge it, I think that looks good... so is that possible? I don't know how these forums work. XP

I use IrfanView to resize, it works a lot better than paint, and it's free, too!

But yeah, I still need to place everything in the right places, then resize.  My laptop died for a bit, otherwise I'd prolly be done by now.

Lemme go work on it, and I'll post it up when I'm done.

BTW, in case you're wondering, I used Paint.NET to put those heads on.  Layers and transparency FTW.

BOO!

How's your progress?

About half an hour ago, my computer shat itself and lost my progress.  So I'm back to what I uploaded on here.  I got extremely frustrated and haven't started back again.

When my dad gets back from the grocery store (any minute now), we're heading out to the lake to go camp. I'm not sure when we'll be back, and I won't have electricity or internet.  Which means I'll be working on your sprite the minute we get back.  I can it done by Tuesday at the latest.

Sorry to seem like I keep blowing you off.

It looked alright until I resized it.

I have an idea, though.  Take a screenshot of the mini-d version, and try that.  Lemme try it.
