Title: [Request] Upping an armors stats (Probably small.)
Post by: Revo on May 23, 2008, 05:14:11 PM
Ok, normally I would use the template for requesting things, but this one I think will be small enough that it wouldn't be worth the time.

I need a script so that I can use the "Script..." command in the event menu and make the stats of a character's armor or weapon increase. I would think it would just be something simple, but I'm no scripter and I don't know. I'll try to explain it more...

Example: I need Arshes' Bronze Armor to gain 5 points in PDEF. So I use the script to up it.

That's the best I can explain it right now, so if anyone needs any more explanation, I'll try. And if this can be done without a script, please tell me how. ;_;

You make the normal bronze armour, and the bronze armour with an extra 5 pdef. When it gains 5 PDEF, take away the first bronze armour and replace it with the second. That should be the simplest (yet crappiest) way of doing it :P

Yeah, but the way I have it set up... I would have to make about 7643287 armors. Because you'll get items, each one of them increases one stat, you use it and that stat increases. You could focus on only one stat or do them equally. Because Defense isn't the only stat the armors have.  But, that was my original plan till I found out that it wasn't as simple as I thought. Thanks for the suggestion though. ;D

Look for an armor customization script or something. I think no matter how you do the script, it's going to be annoying to put in, I'd suggest just giving up on the idea if you can't find a script already made.
