Title: Help with a script (Blizz-ABS)
Post by: memyselforwho on April 23, 2008, 10:27:38 PM
Hey. I am using the:

Blizz-ABS
Version: 1.98
Type: Advanced Action Battle System

The problem is for some reason when i have a parallel process with text it will not let me go to the next part of the text. Also, it wont let me configure the keys.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Well, BlizzABS overrides the configurable controls, so that's probably why. But he has a section in that script where you can set the controls inside the script editor, rather than from the F1 dialogue.

I don't really know what the problem is in the other case. Does the problem not occur if you do not have Blizz-ABS in your game?

Also, for questions on scripts, your best bet is to ask the author in the topic that you got the script from. As long as they are active, they will know their scripts better than anyone and are therefore more likely to get you a fix quicker than from anybody else. Also, if it is a problem with the script, then you are doing them a favour by telling them so they can fix it in the next version.

Thanks a lot, i found the control editor without the instructions, and it all works fine. Its pretty much just the text problem now, but i will let him know of the problem, thanks.

So THAT was why? Well, I thought it was mainly because of the fact that I used a special message system.
Anyways, wrong forum, I believe. This should be in the Script Help/Support forum, am I right? ;)

Yeah I might have posted in the wrong section accidentally...

I figured out that the problem is because I am also using Slipknots message system, however I'm pretty confident that i am not the only one who uses both together, is there any way at all to fix this?

Woah, mama! Sweet! But I'm gonna use my own abs I think, or at least not use a special message script for my later games, even though I might edit the old games with the scripts.

Oh, and for the key configuration, make sure you set each key up like this:

Key['X']

seperate keys with a "," (without quotation marks). X is the key you wish to use (not L if you want Q or R if you want W, the excact keyboard key!)
