more problems wow ok heres what the map looks like everything thats in the shade works as its supposed to but things in the light seem to work totally at random
blue squares are impassable green are passable and things with a purple 'X' on them are not supposed to be passable
(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi203.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Faa42%2FSabreOfPain%2Fughmoreproblems.jpg&hash=4316e25c426ab2e730a2d55544bdec07026cbf8d)
Can I assume the passibility has been set in the database?
yes... perhaps i should rephrase that
the green sections are areas that the character can walk on.
the blue areas are sections that the character cannot walk on.
and the sections of the areas that are marked with a purple "X" are marked in the database as impassable.
all floor spaces are passable
all wall spaces shade or not are not passable
the unmarked things in the corners work as they are supposed to.
Could you have something set to passible on another layer? Maybe a blank tile or something is set to passable?
well the shadow tiles i used are all passable and on the 3rd layer, yet everything thats under the shadow works as its supposed to. also the ground on the 1st layer is passable
hold the phone~
are you using the postality knight enhanced?
maybe thats why i had the same problem when i used it.... I switched for the regular one.. and everything is fine.
but on that note I even tried managing the passing of objects in the database myself.. didn't work... I guess is because the postality knights enhanced has that bug (among others)
i was using PK yes but i upgraded and nothing changed
If the shadow parts are passable, and cover the non passable stuff, then the character might be walking on the shadow.
Try removing all the shadow tiles and see if it works then.

Sorry, I must have misread that.
No idea is coming to mind, so could you upload the project so I could take a look and see if I can find anything?

Ah hah!!!
I got it!
the places where you have light in the darkness, you used a tile from farther in the tileset.
use the flood fill, and use one of the autotiles to fill in the light:
(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi70.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fi100%2FCeegamus%2FRPG%2520Maker%2520Tuts%2Fhelp1-1.jpg&hash=d784f7c704d970df4929d353bbd502ba88e54cc4)
Then, flood fill the autotile with the very first tile, the blank one.
It should work then.
(Sorry if this doesn't make sense. It's really late here... The pic should help)
oh, thats odd that i wouldn't notice something like that, thanks.
Edit: yeah that fixed it.
