this is a character design I've been working on for a side project I've been throwing around in my head for about 3 months now, I'm probably going to go after this.

Oh yeah, shoes suck, too for me. Lol XD They usually turn out as just pointed blocks. :V
Just practice by drawing your own shoes. Drawing from life is the best way to get your drawings to look authentic.
yup, I did that with my sprite id, it turned out pretty ok :P

Also, my drawing style is pretty... cartoonish so I can't really put my own shoes into it. D: That's why I'm going to try and learn Phoenix Wright drawing style :3 Which will take some time. And effort. None of which I've put in so far.
Wouldnt it be better to have your own style?
I can't say I've figured out my own style yet :P it's pretty traditional, if I had to say, I have a tendency of drawing heads that are too big XD

Yes, but what I'm planning is using the Phoenix Wright style as something to copy and then I get comfortable with it, change stuff as I want, and eventually adapt it into "my style." But for now, it's kinda outta my league to do that.

Monkeydlu, maybe drawing the characters with foreheads like that can be part of your drawing style!
