but I'm pretty sure that Monty is amazing... And I was so happy to see that there weren't any of the average characters fanboys obsess about, like cloud and sephiroth specifically.

To be honest, I was thinking. I don't really care so much who's doing the fighting as long as the fighting is extreme and isn't repetitive, since these movies are nothing but fights. I think we all hope that a fight scene would last longer that it does in the movies and this series is nothing but a massive fight scene lol. So...Yeah...I just like that the fighting is extreme.
Agreed. I don't care so much about the characters as I do that each individual character uses their own unique attacks from their own games. That's pretty sweet.
And it partly answers a question that's on EVERYBODY'S mind after they beat any Final Fantasy game; now that they have all this power ... what do they do with it? Do they just lose it? I was always angry in Kingdom Hearts when Cloud or Squall showed up and they weren't all like uber-powerful like they are by the time you beat the game. (And Aeris shouldn't be there, she's dead, wtf) (Unless Kingdom Hearts interrupted all those universes 1/2 through their journeys, but still, lol)

lol, I liked your over thoughts hah. With Kingdom Hearts 3 coming around and from what I heard of its plot and all its shinanigans, what you said is completely plausible. Since apparently in 3, all dimensions are basically opened up giving free passage to a ton of different places besides just Disney's worlds. They fucked up time in 1 and 2 and now time is fucking them, so to speak.
K, I just suffered through parts 3 and 4, and enjoyed part 5, and I've got to say I really like where this whole project is going. You know, with the addition of an actual storyline, lol.
Good stuff.

Edit2:: FUCK ME Ryu Hayabusa. Also 5 was fuckin intense. The choreography was pretty damn spot on.
By the second dead fantasy I realized how important everything else but fights are. There is no logic, no one dies, it gets dull watching a big fight scene where no one gets hurt.
Sure its totally awesome and all that fun stuff. If only he would do Mortal Kombat.
You should probably watch the other 3, then, because it addresses that very issue.
