Title: Whats the Point of Scripts?

What do they do for you? See, i want to make a custom battle system and from my research, i found out that you need Scripts in order to make them. What i want to know is, How do you make them, What are they used for, and where can i find a tutroial on how to make a custom battle system? Much Thanks in Advance!

Well, it takes some effort to learn how to write scripts. I suggest Blizzard's tutorial: http://forum.chaos-project.com/index.php?topic=22.0

What are they used for? - they can be used for anything that you want to use them for. Well, they can be used for anything in your game : they can't really change the actual program of RMXP. Though, they can change how things that you set in the actual program are interpreted in-game, so take that with a grain of salt. But yeah, pretty much the entire game that you make with RMXP is run by scripts, and so you can change anything you want to.

But, don't expect to be able to make a custom battle system right now, or that a single tutorial will be able to teach you how to make complicated scripts - it won't. It'll take a lot of effort on your part before you can make good scripts.
