Title: Request - Final Fantasy and/or other NES/SNES games' sound effects
Post by: ZemusEX on March 03, 2008, 12:03:02 PM
Hey there, people of RMRK!
I've been looking for sound effects to go with my fan-RPG, searching the net on several occasions, finding naught but poor sound rips or something completly unrelated.

So, I ask you guys, does anyone have sound-rips from any NES/SNES games, preferably RPG's AND most mostly appreciated, Final Fantasy sound effects, ranging from FF 1-5? I saw a vid on youtube which had ripped FF5-effects, I think it was Final Fantasy V-2. Maybe the creator would like to share these nifty bits of sound with another fan? ;8

What I'm mainly looking for is battle sound effects, like slashing, normal hitting, casting, fire/ice/bolt sounds etc.

Thanks in advance! :)

Thanks man, but I was looking for sound effects, you know like the sword slashes and magic sounds and stuff. Looks like the only way to get ahold of those is to rip them by recording in-game, dang...

Yeah, it seems like it. The filetype seems mac-specific, I don't know the eff to open it up in windows, if it is even possible.

But I've sort of resolved this problem and started ripping sounds myself, thanks anyhow. ;8
