Arshes in RMVX Land
Lost the Original Files - No longer working on this project, sorryYay the first (well 2nd, after Phoenix Wright 4: Apollo Justice) RMVX game! This is just a small game I'm working on based off Alice in Wonderland.
The game will feature all of VX's new features, and the return of some XP characters. The game is in sandbox style, so it's completely free roam.
StoryArshes was beginning to tire of the people of RMXP. What was the point of being a hero if nobody liked him? One day he came across a book that told him of a magical sword, which would give him his only wish. Arshes sets out into the world to look for the sword, which was rumoured to be hidden in the deepest part of the underworld. Arshes giving all his strength, defeats the guardian of the distortion gate and obtains the sword. The sword reads his mind, and sends him into a world where he will have to become a new hero.

ArshesHeight: 43 Pixels
Class: Swordsman
Arshes is the main protagonist of XP. Although he has been on many adventures, the people of XP view him as an annoying and overused character. Arshes begins his final adventure in a new world, the world of VX.

????Height: 32 Pixels
Class: Swordsman
He is the main protagonist in VX, and will aid Arshes in his adventure. None know his real name yet, due to inability to translate his name in Altavista Babelfish. Instead he is given a name by Arshes for the following adventure.
Quest ListMain Quest- Defeat the Thug
- Assist the King with Bandits
Side Quests- Weapons Quest
-- Orc Cavern: Great Longsword (Additional Dmg)
-- Trading Chain: Epee (Additional Dmg + Double Attack)
- The Abandoned Lighthouse
Features- All RTP resources (XP included)
- RMXP Cameos
- Total of 10 Bosses
- Game will be mostly sandbox style, and will allow players to explore dungeons, towns, and fight any boss (including the "final") at any given time
- Weapon Quests: Weapons in this game cannot be bought, and are a mere means of upgrading. Complete a series of tasks in order to progress to the next weapon. Newer weapons offer powerful stats and effects so it's pretty much worth the effort.

This sounds w00tish. It's pretty funny considering the characters are breaking the fourth wall... You should make a joke about how RM95 had better graphics than RM2k and RM2k3... because it does.
Uploaded first demo.
Includes: 2 bosses, 2 complete dungeons, 1 town, and 2 quests.
I uploaded an RTP-less version and an RTP-Included version.
Have fun and tell me what you guys think so far.

(In the RTP-Included version, there's a bug where the top of the Abandoned Lighthouse is open even when not all the lights are lit. In the RTP-less I fixed this)
Looks fun. Downloading now

Doesnt the new RPG Maker only have a preset # of tilesets?
Yeah, 5 total layers. I have no idea if a custom tileset will be able to extend the grid amount, but if not someone is bound to script one.
Anyways, I'll continue working on the game some more, and upload another demo later in the week. Which will include the 2nd Island.
I played this and it was fun :-) The cave was good and had nice puzzles and a change of pace with jumps and such. I look forward to seeing more of it :-)
I played it and it was actually pretty good. I haven't finished it yet (still doing the cave puzzle :P)
but good job.
